New Balance aims to become recognized as the world's leading manufacturer
of high performance footwear and apparel, by conducting our internal and
external relationships according to three core values -- Teamwork, Total
Customer Satisfaction, and Integrity.
New Balance is set apart from its competitors by a number of distinct
points of variance. They are:
Commitment to Domestic Manufacturing
While many of our competitors have moved production overseas, New Balance
remains dedicated to domestic manufacturing. While it is impractical to
make all of our shoes in the United States, many New Balance shoes are
produced in our five New England-based facilities each year.
Extensive Width-Sizing
New Balance recognizes that feet come in all shapes and sizes, and that
the shoes that fit better, perform better. Therefore, the company offers
all in-line styles in up to six different widths, from narrow AA to an
extra wide 6E.
Technological Innovation
New Balance recognizes that no one technology meets the needs of every
individual. That is why New Balance has developed the New Balance Suspension
System -- a system of technologically advanced components that address
a variety of foot needs. The company's continued commitment to the enhancement
of the Suspension System has positioned New Balance as an industry leader
in technological innovation.
Endorsed by No One
New Balance proudly supports grassroots athletics, and Team New Balance
stands as testimony to that. However, the company does not use high-profile
athletes to sell shoes and apparel, as we stronly believe that the real
"heroes" of the brand are the products, not endorsers. Rather
than line the pockets of celebrity athletic endorsers, New Balance opts
to focus on research and design, manufacturing and grassroots athletic
initiatives.
